Motion & Content

Video

One story, recut for the channel it runs on.

Campaign, product and brand video.

Motion & Content Direction study, not client work

When it is needed

The story has to survive the cut.

A film made for the website plays differently in a feed: wrong length, wrong shape, sound off, the point arriving after the thumb has moved on. One master rarely suits every placement. The work is deciding what each channel's version has to do, then cutting it to do that.

Approach

Master edit, then the channel cuts

  1. Agree the story

Agree the script and the story.

  2. The master edit

    Build the master edit.

  3. Recut for placement

Recut for placement, length and sound context.

  4. The boundary

This covers editing and adaptation. Original production, from filming and talent to voiceover and sound, is scoped as a Project.

Scope

One story, several formats

  • Concept and scripting
  • Editing
  • Post-production
  • Cutdowns and resizes
  • Captions and graphics

Bring the brief. Leave with a direction.
